Handbook for an Unpredictable Life by Rosie Perez

This book was only read because it was chosen by the book club I'm in. I would never have picked this book up on my own. This autobiography is one I didn't care for but I don't feel like I wasted my time reading it. It would seem that Rosie didn't really have to work for her success. That the positions she got were all because she was in the right place at the right time. The story of how her parents met was cute and in it's own way romantic. As most children learn when they become adults, life isn't as simple as you thought it was. The relationships Rosie had with her family were all tested and strained. You could see that she wanted to keep close to her family and she wanted a loving family. She kind of addresses her marriage, it would probably be more accurate to say she mentions it. Lol. She talks about working with Jennifer Lopez and how she discovered her. She tells a funny story about dancing in Soul Train and Don Cornelius. The only thing that fascinated me about her life was when she managed the tour for The Boys. I thought that was pretty cool but then again some folks say I'm a lame. Nothing really resonates with me from her life. It's not a bad life story, if you care enough to read about it.
