6Nov2014: After finishing this book my immediate reaction was that I just watched a Tyler Perry movie. It was predictable and I became very annoyed with Kai, the main character. She meets Todd at a coffee shop and 3 months later they're living together and in love. *gag* Todd's best friend, Alana, moves to their city and Kai feels her relationship is threatened. She makes all these calculated moves and befriends Alana hoping to keep her too busy to hang out with Todd. However, Kai is the one who ends up getting manipulated and her heart broken. I feel this book had so much potential. The writing just didn't do it for me. If you're into petty drama or just looking for a mindless read, this is the book for you. I was very aggravated to learn the book ends with a cliffhanger and is followed by 2 sequels. Needless to say I am not reading those and if I could get my $3.24 back from amazon I would.
