The Quickie by James Patterson
6 November 2013: This book was such a fast paced read and I don't think it had much to do with the short chapters. "The Quickie" was the first book I ever read by James Patterson. I don't know what took me so long, his books are everywhere. Anyway, Paul and Lauren Stillwell are a married couple going through a not so great time in their marriage. Lauren sees her husband Paul going to a fancy hotel with another woman when she attempts to surprise him for lunch one day. She ends up setting up a render-vous of her own and that's when the real drama kicks off! The story takes many twists and turns and although some of them are expected you're still in shock at the previous revelation to care. LOL The minute you think the book is in denouement - BAM - you're hit with a new development. I never once felt overwhelmed or as if the situations that arose were forced. The book was natural and flowed all the way through. I definitely recommend it for a quick read whether it be on mass transit or waiting for a flight to depart.
